	The bird-shaped boxes featured on this page are based on a design by Simon Andersen. His model was intended to be a flat hanging ornament, but I accidentally discovered how to transform it into a three-dimensional box by opening up the bird's body and flattening out the sink fold hidden inside. You can create cute party favors by filling a flock of these little birds with small candies. They will make any holiday or happy occasion more joyful. Double-sided paper works best for this model, since so much of the reverse side of the paper is revealed.
