2019 "Christmas in July" Craft Show
[Hurricane Michael Victims Forgotten] During a three-day craft fair at the Cultural Center in Port Charlotte, FL, Teresa raised funds for the "forgotten" victims of Hurricane Michael. Thanks to all who donated!

According to a survey of Floridians conducted in June 2019, two out of five respondents mistakenly believe that life is back to normal now in the Panhandle. Half of respondents said that they have no intention of doing anything further to help Hurricane Michael victims.

Once a disaster like Michael is no longer in the headlines, it's easy to forget, but people in the Panhandle still need our help. Full recovery will take years, not months.

[Teresa With Her Origami Items For Sale as a Fundraiser]

Teresa introduced several new types of holiday-themed origami items at this craft fair: fancy chopstick wrappers, stars, wreaths, a Hannukah wall hanging, and more. These were presented along with her usual assortment of origami boxes in many different shapes and sizes, and a large selection of kusudama (ornamental hanging globes). Sampler packs of origami paper and "gently used" origami books were also offered.

2019 February Craft Show

A craft show was held at The Cultural Center in Port Charlotte, Florida, on February 2, 2019, where Teresa presented her origami boxes and ornaments with a Valentine's Day or Easter theme. Used origami books and sample packs of origami paper were also offered. All money Teresa collected was donated to the Sebring Strong Survivors' Fund.

In January 2019, five innocent people died in a tragic mass-shooting incident at the SunTrust Bank branch in Sebring, Florida. SunTrust Bank, the SunTrust Foundation, and the National Compassion Fund have joined together to provide resources and financial support for the families of the victims.
