Comments: | These neat little cube-shaped boxes take their name from the wicker boxes traditionally used in Japan for storing kimono and accessories. Each origami tsuzura box shown here was constructed using two sheets of paper for the lid and two sheets for the base. Tsuzura are the easiest and quickest to make of the various square boxes presented on this site. Note that each of these boxes has been embellished with a small origami butterfly, loosely attached to the lid by inserting the back part of the butterfly's body under one of the lid flaps. To fasten it more securely, you might add a dab of rubber cement. |
