Comments:The open stock scrapbook paper used here was bought in 12 inch square sheets, which I cut down as needed to make a nested set of three boxes.

Scrapbook paper is a bit harder to work with than origami paper because it is heavier and stiffer. However, those qualities result in very sturdy, stackable boxes.

Here a box featuring a brown diamond pattern and gold stars on black has been nested/stacked with two boxes featuring brown musical notes on black and gold stripes on black. The gold color is muted for an elegant, sophisticated look.

When buying paper in pads, many of the sheets are designed to coordinate with each other. Finding good combinations in the open stock aisle is a bit harder but also more fun and more satisfying.

This set of boxes was made as a gift for my sister, who helped me in selecting the paper.
