Comments: | This set of boxes includes three different styles. The slightly larger boxes show two different styles designed by Tomoko Fuse. The slightly smaller boxes have a lid designed by Makoto Yamaguchi, combined with a base designed by Tomoko Fuse. For all three of these styles, double-sided paper works best. The Sakura (cherry blossom) paper used here is lovely and fun to fold. Cherry blossom trees are a treasured part of the landscape in Japan, where holding special parties for blossom-viewing is a centuries old custom. Cherry blossoms appear frequently in the patterns printed on origami paper. |
