Comments:The lids on these boxes are labeled 1-A in Tomoko Fuse's book, but I am calling this style of lid a "Blooming Pinwheel," since it incorporates both a pinwheel effect and the open petals of a flower blossom.

Double-sided paper, as used here, is really a must for this style of box because so much of its beauty and impact depends on the color change effect.

I borrowed the book which contained this model from the Lending Library of OrigamiUSA. The Library is a wonderful resource for members of that organization.

If you are searching online to purchase this book, be aware that its title is sometimes rendered as "Origami Shinsekai."
