Comments: | Completing this model involves a twisting collapse, followed by some folding and tucking maneuvers. The collapse is a little tricky, but will not be too difficult if you have made all the pre-creases correctly. Once the model has been finished, you can untuck/unfold it and completely flatten the sheet, then easily and quickly return the model to its 3-D form. If you make this bowl from a large sheet of card stock or scrapbook paper, it will be big and sturdy enough to serve up popcorn, potato chips, or many other snacks. Double-sided paper works best because a lot of the reverse side of the paper shows in the finished model. Any paper with a stripes on both sides will produce an attractive woven look. You can curl the "petals" as I have done, or leave them uncurled. Either way, this bowl is both pretty and practical. |
