Teresa's origami will be on display during a Christmas Arts & Crafts Show on November 9th and 10th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Charlotte Harbor Events Center in Punta Gorda, FL.

As usual, Teresa will be offering her origami items as a fundraiser. All donations received will be contributed to the Peace River Wildlife Center, in order to help with that organization's recovery from hurricanes Helene and Milton. Holiday Craft Fair at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church: November 11, 2023 | ||
Teresa's origami was on display during an indoor-outdoor Holiday Craft Fair featuring over 80 vendors, held at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church in Port Charlotte, FL, on November 11, 2023. As usual, Teresa offered her origami items as a fundraiser. All donations received were contributed to the Gulf Cove United Methodist Church, in order to help with hurricane-related repairs. The church's roof was badly damaged by Hurrican Ian. |

Christmas Fair at Bell Tower: December 18, 2022 | ||
Teresa's origami was on display at an indoor Christmas Fair at the Bell Tower* in Fort Myers, FL, on December 18, 2022.
This fair was held by the Local Ladies Social Network, Inc.* As usual, Teresa offered her origami items as a fundraiser. All donations received were contributed to the Florida Disaster Fund, in order to help people affected by Hurricane Ian. The Florida Disaster Fund is the State of Florida's official private fund established to support disaster response and recovery activities in Florida communities. Donations to the Florida Disaster Fund are made to the Volunteer Florida Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, and are tax deductible. Holly Days Market: December 2 - 3, 2022 | ||
Teresa donated some of her origami to the Punta Gorda Garden Club for their "Holly Days Market" held on December 2nd and 3rd, 2022, from 10 AM to 4 PM, at 413 Retta Esplanade in Punta Gorda, Florida. This fundraising event featured gifts, ornaments, and baked goods -- handcrafted and homemade -- plus beautiful poinsettias. The proceeds are used to fund scholarships for local students. Teresa signed up for two tables this year because she had such a huge variety of origami gift boxes and holiday decorations available, due to not participating in craft fairs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also new this year: Teresa gave brief demonstrations of how to make many origami items -- Demonstration Schedule (PDF) SUPPORT SURFSIDE All money received from origami-lovers at this craft fair was donated to "Support Surfside" -- a relief fund for those impacted by the recent tower collapse in
Surfside, FL. Partners in building this fund
include The Coral Gables Community Foundation, The Key Biscayne Community Foundation, and The Miami Foundation. |
