| Comments: | Simple triangular boxes like those shown here are very easy and quick to make. Unfortunately, they are not very sturdy, which makes them less useful as gift boxes.
However, they can be quite beautiful and they do provide a good opportunity to use up odd sheets of origami paper left over from other projects, which is just what I did here.
After making a big batch of square boxes, I had only two sheets left from each of five Himeyu prints. Two sheets are not enough to make any type of modular box, but they will work well for a Plain-Style triangular box when combined with additional sheets in complementary solid colors.
A further note on papers used here: the Nippon No Iro has the same solid color on both sides and has a nice crispness which creases well; the Himeyu has interesting metallic highlights. |
