Comments:These hexagonal boxes were made by following the instructions/diagrams in an origami kit, but using different types of paper than what was included with the kit.

The kit did not provide any distinctive name for this box design by Makoto Yamaguchi, so I have named it for its resemblance to a pin cushion.

I obtained the 15cm by 7.5cm rectangular sheets required by cutting a standard 15cm sheet of origami paper in half.

Double-sided paper yields the best-looking lids when making boxes in this style, although one-sided paper will work fine for the bases.
