Comments: | In 2015, I had a beautiful calendar, purchased from the gift shop at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. It featured images of Japanese woodblock prints by Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige. When 2016 rolled around, I kept my 2015 calendar with the idea of using the images in some way. Then I discovered Tomoko Fuse's design for a rectangular box with a "picture frame" lid, and I knew at once how to "re-purpose" the images from my old calendar. Tomoko recommends A4 size paper for this type of box, but larger or smaller sheets may be used, depending on the size of the image to be inserted in the frame. Any rectangular sheet with the same height-width ratio as A4 paper will work fine. Note that optional decorative liners have been added to the bases of these boxes. |
