Comments: | Double-sided paper yields the best looking results when making this style of box; the single-sided paper used here produces a base with a rather plain-looking interior. For this group of boxes, the floor of each base has been enhanced with a removable liner of soft felt in a complementary color. The felt liners improve the appearance of the interiors and make these boxes more suitable for holding jewelry or other fragile items. The folding and joining of units for octagonal boxes is complex. The octagon base is especially difficult. Of all the modular boxes presented on this site, octagons are probably the most challenging to create. |
