Comments:The designer of these clever little boxes acknowledges that they were inspired by two other designers. She "gives a nod" to Thoki Yenn for the lid and to Tomoko Fuse for the stoppers.

Each lid is made from just one sheet of paper, so creating the cute knob on top involves some rather challenging pleat folds.

The little stopper inserted in the interior roof of the lid is not structurally necessary, but it helps to give that part of the box a neat finish, and it's a nice decorative touch.

The same can be said about the little stopper inserted in the floor of the masu base.

Each of these diminutive boxes is just the right size to hold a single foil-wrapped bonbon. The set of eight would be perfect as party favors.
