Comments:The bags shown here are easy to make and fun to use.

The designer calls this origami model a Lunch Bag, but it makes a beautiful gift bag if you fold it from beautiful paper.

The foldover closure on this type of bag is not very secure, so I have added decorative clips from my cache of home office supplies.

Making one of these bags is a great way to use up the odd bit of wrapping paper left at the end of a roll -- or recycle wrapping paper from gifts which you have received.

The paper used for the smaller bag was heavy/stiff enough so that I did not feel the need to reinforce the bottom of the bag by adding a rectangle of cardboard or card stock. However, the larger bag was made from lighter-weight wrapping paper, and I will definitely reinforce the bottom before using it.
