Comments:The lids on these non-modular pentagonal boxes were very challenging to make. They require a great number of precise pre-creases.

Tomoko Fuse suggests scoring the pre-creases, which I found very helpful, but not all types of paper can stand up to such treatment -- the washi used here could. It did not tear or crack at the intersection of multiple creases like some of the other papers I tried.

"Kagayaki" means "radiance" in Japanese; with its pastel colors against a gold metallic background, the kagayaki paper certainly is radiant!

The Wazome Unryu paper was a bit easier to work with because it took a crease better than the kagayaki paper. However, I still found scoring the paper to be helpful.

"Unryu" can be literally translated as "cloud dragon paper" and it is made by adding long swirling fibers to basic kozo (mulberry) pulp. These fibers look like wispy clouds floating through the paper.
