Comments:I apologize for accidentally putting a hexagonal box in this grouping which was meant to include only octagonal boxes.

Both types of non-modular box shown here -- hexagonal and octagonal -- are very challenging to make because of the many precise pre-creases required and the use of a tricky "twist-down" technique.

If you have already mastered Tomoko Fuse's non-modular hexagon boxes, then the octagons will be easier because many of the folds/steps are very similar.

Scoring the pre-creases helps a lot, and the types of papers used here are strong enough to take scoring without tearing and to hold sharp creases without breakthrough at corners or other places where multiple creases intersect.
