Comments: | These non-modular hexagonal boxes are very challenging to make because of the many precise pre-creases required and the use of a tricky "twist-down" technique. Scoring the pre-creases helps a lot, but not all paper can withstand scoring. The types of paper used here performed very well, except for the Gold Ribbons & Leaves on Cream, which was too thin and soft for making a practical box. I found a way to strengthen this delicate paper by applying a self-adhesive backing to it. This allowed me to score and fold the thin paper without tearing it and also made the resulting box sturdier. |
