Comments: | Three different styles of flower-shaped boxes are shown here. Tomoko Fuse's Flower Bowl appears at left and right, with her Flower Box for Sweets in the center/bottom of the photo. Fumio Inoue designed the four-petaled Masu Flower shown in the center/top of the photo. Both of Tomoko Fuse's models require a lot of accurate pre-creasing, followed by crimping and collapsing the model. The final collapse is fairly easy for the Flower Bowl, but the Flower Box for Sweets is more challenging to complete because of some tricky sink folds. The model designed by Fumio Inoue is a variation on the traditional origami masu box and it is not difficult to make. When filled with small candies or snacks, all of these containers work well as party favors. The Flower Bowls can be neatly stacked for storage. |
