Comments:These self-closing boxes do not have a separate lid and base. The whole structure of each box is formed from a single sheet of paper.

The interior will be more attractive if double-sided paper is used.

This type of box is closed by overlapping each top flap with the next, tucking the tip of the final flap under the first. The box is opened by simply undoing these flaps.

Two versions of this box are shown here -- plain and sturdy. They look the same from outside when closed, but the difference is evident upon opening them up.

The side walls of the plain version are loose when the top flaps are open; the walls tend to come apart easily.

The side walls of the sturdy version hold together tightly, even when the box is wide open, thanks to locking folds in the corners.
