Comments:Tomoko Fuse specifies A4 size paper (210 mm by 297 mm) for making non-modular square boxes, but her instructions allow for significant adjustments to the dimensions of the starting sheet and, thus, to the dimensions of the finished product.

By experiment, I found that the sheet size could be varied even beyond what is shown in her book. It is especially easy to change the height of the finished box. In the side view of this set, note how much shorter the box in the upper left corner is than all the others.

I made the boxes shown here from scrapbook paper which came in an 8 1/2 by 11 inch (216 by 279 mm) pad, cutting each sheet to different sizes as desired. All of the starting sheets were rectangles like A4 paper, but they did not always have the same length-width ratio as A4 paper.
