Comments:Momigami paper has been delicately pleated to create an elegant double fan decoration on the lids of these festive holiday gift boxes.

The momigami has an interesting texture which the papermakers obtain by crumpling and uncrumpling washi sheets while they are still not completely dry.

Due to the bulkiness of the momigami, I was not able to get an easy fit between lid and base when I tried making both from sheets of the same size. However, this problem was easily solved by trimming a few millimeters off the sheets used for the base.
