Comments: | This set of boxes includes two examples of an interesting variation on Tomoko Fuse's basic square box design. I saw this variation in a YouTube video. No particular name was given to the variation in the video, but I've decided to call it a Water Wheel Variation. The beauty of this variation depends on exposing the reverse side of the paper to create an X-shape on the lid. Therefore, double-sided paper works best for this lid style. A dramatic effect can be obtained with paper which has a colorful, traditional pattern on one side and a complementary solid color on the other. |
