No Glue UsedThis modular origami model was constructed entirely without the use of glue or any adhesive. The finished structure holds together securely because of how the units are interlocked by inserting a tab-like part of one unit into a slot or pocket of another.

Comments: |
Each unit in this model was created by folding a base component and a face component, then joining the face and base together with additional folds. This technique allows for the use of two different types of paper in each unit, greatly expanding the variety of patterns and color combinations which can be achieved in the finished model. This ornament received a Blue Ribbon in the Papercrafting category at the 2018 Charlotte County Fair in Florida. The red, purple, green, and shiny gold you see here make this kusudama an attractive Christmas decoration. It can be hung on the tree by putting a traditional tree ornament hook in the small loop of gold wired ribbon or by sliding a length of fabric ribbon through that small loop.
